Bibliography intro

The sources stated in the texts can also be found in the bibliography, which has been extended with secondary and background literature - and is the so far one of the most comprehensive collections of texts about the subject.
The supplementary works of the bibliography especially about Egyptology, anthropology, religion history, archaeology, and astronomical dating are contributing to a necessary interdisciplinary general impression. (This bibliography is part of a larger bibliography concept, published in Ove von Spaeth's books about the historical Moses, cf. www.moses-egypt.net/book-series/moses-survey_en.asp )
In case you cannot find a special item - try for instance Gary D. Thompson's excellent collection: "An Annotated Bibliography Of Studies of Occidental Constellations and Star Names to the Classical Period", cf. http://members.optusnet.com.au/~gtosiris/page4.html.
Concerning a special field, i.e. the so-called Star of Bethlehem, a huge amount of literature exists. Already hundred years ago, in Ginzel, F.K.:  Handbuch der mathematischen Chronologie, Band 1-3, Berlin 1906-1914, there is published a large list. The growing amount of relevant literature is carefully listed by astronomer Robert Harry van Gent, Professor in Historical Astronomy, at the Institute for History and Foundations of Mathematics and the Natural Sciences, at Utrecht University, Holland. His comprising "Star of Bethlehem Bibliography" is to be found on this address:

A special treasure of knowledge and wisdom of Greece, Rome, and the Renaissance had originated in Ancient Egypt - and was here known to connect also with the historical Moses' dramatic fate and mystery.
Ove von Spaeth has written an intriguing, new-orientating work presenting this still influential background of our civilization. His interdisciplinary research on history, archaeology, and anthropology goes deeply into Egyptian tradition, history of religion, initiation cults, star-knowledge, and mythology - relating to biblical studies, the Rabbinical Writings, and the authors of Antiquity. Each volume offers unique insights not presented before.
Special information is presented by clicking on the individual cover illustrations:
